Moving from Granola
Connect Granola to bring accessible meeting transcripts into Stenograf. New meetings can keep arriving while you make the transition.
Connect your Granola account
- Open Settings → Connected apps → Granola in Stenograf.
- Choose Connect, sign in to Granola in your browser and approve access.
- Return to Stenograf and check the connection status and imported meeting counts.
- Use Import transcripts to check again. Connected sources are checked every fifteen minutes while the app runs.
When meetings have no transcript
Granola’s MCP connection provides full transcripts on paid plans. Its Basic plan exposes the last thirty days of notes without transcript access, so seeing a meeting listed does not mean Stenograf can import its transcript. Enterprise workspaces may need an administrator to enable MCP. See Granola’s connection and plan guide.
Stenograf uses Granola’s account connection rather than reading its local cache. It retains Granola’s Me and Them distinction where provided; a shared “Them” label cannot identify individual participants by itself.
Check your meetings
Open History and check several imported meetings: title, date, speaker labels and the words themselves. Search for a phrase you remember or open Discover from a meeting. Source speaker labels are kept as text; importing a transcript does not enroll anyone’s voice.
Original summaries and other app-specific objects are not a substitute for the transcript. Stenograf can create its own summaries once the local language model is ready. For repeatable analysis, choose a meeting in Workflows.
Finish the move
Check that important meetings have arrived before removing access or cancelling your old plan. Disconnect in Stenograf keeps imported meetings; revoke access in the source account too if you are finished with the connection.
