Moving from Fireflies.ai
Bring accessible Fireflies transcripts into Meetings through a connected account, verify your meetings, and choose when to stop using the old notetaker.
Connect Fireflies
- Open Settings → Connected apps → Fireflies.ai.
- Choose Connect, sign in in your browser and allow access.
- Check the import status. Import transcripts requests another sync; Stenograf also checks every fifteen minutes while running.
Meetings with accessible transcripts become saved recordings, retaining the source’s speaker labels and timing where available. Meetings without a transcript are counted separately rather than turned into an empty transcript.
Downloads and audio
Fireflies offers transcript and recording downloads on Pro plans and higher. Its download guide explains transcript formats, speaker labels and timestamps, and MP3 audio downloads.
To transcribe downloaded audio locally on a Mac, choose Meetings → Import audio. A transcript export can be kept as an archive; the current app does not offer a transcript-file import dialog. Use the Fireflies connection for transcripts.
Check your meetings
Open Meetings and check several imported meetings: title, date, speaker labels and the words themselves. Search for a phrase you remember or ask a question in the chat below a meeting. Source speaker labels are kept as text; importing a transcript does not enroll anyone’s voice.
Original summaries and other app-specific objects are not a substitute for the transcript. Stenograf can create its own summaries once the local language model is ready. Open a saved meeting to ask questions in its chat or edit its summary.
Finish the move
Check that important meetings have arrived before removing access or cancelling your old plan. Disconnect in Stenograf keeps imported meetings; revoke access in the source account too if you are finished with the connection.
Stop future bot attendance
Review Fireflies’ meeting and calendar settings, automatic attendance rules and any recurring invitations you added it to. Do this separately from disconnecting the import: removing Stenograf’s access does not change how Fireflies joins meetings.
