Stenograf help

Bringing Zoom meetings into Stenograf

Record future Zoom calls directly, or transcribe an existing audio recording locally on your Mac.

Record your next Zoom meeting

Open Stenograf and choose Listen when you are ready to record. It captures Zoom’s output and your microphone without a meeting bot. If you use connected calendars, Join & Listen can open the meeting and begin capture together. Tell everyone and obtain permission first.

Import an existing audio recording

  1. Get the audio file from your own recording or from its owner.
  2. On macOS, open History → Import audio and choose the file.
  3. Wait for local transcription, then check the transcript and speaker labels in History.

What about Zoom’s transcript?

Zoom cloud recordings can include a separate VTT transcript when audio transcription is enabled. Availability depends on the account and recording settings; see Zoom’s audio transcription guide.

Stenograf currently has no Zoom transcript connector or transcript-file import button. Keep a VTT export as a separate archive, or import the recording’s audio on macOS to produce a local transcript.

After importing

Use Discover to ask questions with supporting passages, or select the saved meeting in Workflows to prepare a report or an action for review.
